 Here at Majestic Doves Aviary we go above and beyond when it comes to shipping your bird. Each bird born here is cared for at such a personal level. This is why it only makes sense for us to be certain their shipping experience will be the best it can possibly be. 

  There is a bit of a backstory on how we came to integrate into shipping our birds.  As a Bird Breeder and Bird Behavioralist I originally was against shipping them as I saw several hurdles I had to overcome. One major one was that I didn’t know how to ship. There isn’t exactly a lot of tutorials online regarding this subject and even the information I did find on this, was geared towards the chicken industry. Another hurdle is that the United States Post Office doesn’t exactly have glowing reviews when it comes to shipping anything; let alone something as precious as a Live Animal.  I did not let that stop me as I am naturally inclined on taking on any challenge before me.

 I very quickly became the Post Offices new unwanted student as I set about calling them endlessly to get real answers on HOW they actually handled live shipping. Answers to questions like climate control, where they put the carriers when in transit, timing of flights etc. is what I searched for. By the grace of God, I did get the answers I was looking for and much more. My research has given me the much needed tools to properly plan ahead and make sure each bird is shipped the RIGHT WAY. It boggles my mind how I have time and time again, witnessed other bird breeders simply think its totally fine to put their birds in a box with a some food but no water. In that type of scenario, anyone in their right mind knows this is setting the poor animal up for sickness or even death. I do not understand this mindset whatsoever and I am saddened by this very real and regular occurrence. THIS is the very reason why Majestic Doves Aviary refuses to ship our birds with anything less than the utmost care we can possibly provide. Temperatures, several days of food and water, warmers, and insulation during cold months are all considered. We are even doing research currently on lighting for inside the carrier, and hopefully one day having our own live tracking system. I want peace of mind for our customers but honestly I want peace of mind for myself as well. I love every bird that leaves our Aviary and I refuse to give them anything less than the best in life. That is what I strive for and that is my goal. Remember, I was once the customer and I have had other breeders ship birds to me. I hated how they treated them. The memory of opening the carrier and seeing severely dehydrated birds remains strong in my mind. This will not happen here at Majestic Doves Aviary, as for us they are more than just birds; they are part of the family. 

This is my personal guarantee to our customers. A guarantee to ship with their comfort, safety, and health in mind.
